FROM HUMBLE BEGINNINGS TO HIGHER STANDARDS

Nestled at the foot of Pikes Peak, Transparent Cleaning Co. has humble roots. We’re a couple of young professionals who are good at cleaning and passionate about serving people well. This all started with a simple thought that kept coming back to me as a kid: “There’s got to be a better way to do this.”

Growing up, my parents would hand me a roll of paper towels and a bottle of glass cleaner and turn me loose on eight sliding glass doors. No matter how hard my ten-year-old hands scrubbed, the sun would hit and reveal every swirl, streak, and drip. Even then, I knew there had to be a better way to get a truly clear view.

Years later, I worked as a professional window cleaner here in Colorado. By then, I had learned the right way to make glass shine. But a new problem bothered me even more. I kept seeing a service-industry culture that treated hardworking employees as expendable, customers as an inconvenience, and the community as nothing more than a source of profit. Burnt-out cleaners cut corners and missed appointments. Clients were overcharged for underwhelming results. Many companies didn’t seem to care about Colorado Springs or the values that make it such a special place to live.

PARTNERSHIP BUILT ON PURPOSE

Again, I found myself thinking, “There’s got to be a better way to do this.” I wanted a cleaning company that did more than wipe surfaces. I wanted a business that honored people. So I set out with a squeegee, a Subaru Outback, and a mountain of good intentions to start something better in Colorado Springs… but I was utterly overwhelmed by the realities of running a business.

That’s when Spencer stepped in. I met Spencer through his brother, who was a close friend. I got him a job cleaning windows with me, and it didn’t take long to see that he lived and breathed small business. As the son of entrepreneurs, Spencer understood how to build something that could last. He also shared the Christian convictions that shape my own life. He saw the same problems I saw, and when I decided to strike out on my own, like any close friend, he refused to let me do something crazy… alone.

Transparent Cleaning Co. was born out of a simple belief: our faith should show up in how we treat people. For us, that means honoring God by loving people exceptionally well — bringing our best effort to everything we do and treating every person we meet, whether employee, client, or neighbor, as someone worthy of dignity, respect, and compassion.

Our “better way” starts with our team. We believe that when cleaners are given the proper training, equipment, support, and pay — and are trusted to do their jobs well — they take real pride in their work. They show up on time. They care about the details. They treat your home as their own and your family as their neighbors.

EVOLUTION: ONE HOME, MULTIPLE SOLUTIONS

Our latest “better way” moment occurred a few years ago, when I was trying to have some work done on my home and realized I needed to sift through an extensive list of contractors across two or three disciplines to complete what I thought would be a simple task. I could not find a single company that could handle multiple tasks for me.

“There’s got to be a better way to do this,” I thought as I left a voicemail for the eighth separate contractor, all the while my kids waited anxiously for me to play with them. I realized then that I wanted Transparent to become a single company of experts that could make a client’s home run on autopilot, giving them back their time for their families. One cleaning company, one team of professionals, able to take fantastic care of multiple facets of your home.
